THANKSGIVING!!

Well this Thanksgiving was certainly different than what I'm use to. Kristin and Roy invited me to go to Thanksgiving with her family. We would be going places like New York and Boston. I was very excited because I have never been to these places before. If I hadn't gone then I would have been here all alone for a week. So this is kinda a long story but here we go. We left saturday the 21st. We were suppose to leave at 6:00 a.m. because we had about an 8 hr drive ahead of us. So I was up and ready by 6 and when i went upstairs no one was awake. I was very upset because I could have had more time to get ready and slept a little longer. Finally they got up and we ended up leaving at 8:30. The car was very crammed with all of us and all of our stuff. Our bags had to be down at our feet and poor Bella had to have her feet up on her bag the whole time. I had two little holes where my feet could go and evertime I got out of the car I had to twist my feet sideways and pull to get out. It was such a pain getting in and out of the car. So the first day was alot of driving, we went through Washington, Maryland, New Jersey, then we stopped in New York and went to a HUGE MALL with a Feris Wheel and an Ice Rink!! We were there for a while shopping for the kids. Then we drove through Connecticut for about another 2 hrs until we got to our hotel in Boston, Massachusets. We stayed in the Hilton wich was a very nice hotel. We all shared a room so Roy, Kristin and Sebastian shrared a bed and me and one of the kids would share the other one.

This is the view of Boston from our hotel room.
We went to a mall that was next to our hotel and it was very big but it didn't have any kids stores, all the stores where like designer. I looed at a shirt that was $45. I don't have that kind of money for a shirt. They had some great decorations though.

The kids in front of a giant Christmas Bulb.
They loved this GIANT Horse!!

These trees in the mall were BEAUTIFUL!!
The next day we took the T and went to Quincy Market. This is the original market place that was first built in Boston. Alot of the buildings there were the originals. There was alot of souvenier shops there and they have a long strip of just food. There was every kind of food there that you could think of. There is no way someone couldn't find something they liked there. When Iwas looking for something a guy at the Italian food started flirting with me to get me to buy his food. He stopped me and asked where I was from. Then he asked if all the girls in Idaho where as tall and beautiful as I was. (What a line right!!) Then he gave me a sample, then he was like I'm not suppose to do this but for you I will here is another sample. Ya I ended up NOT buying food from there.

The original Quincy Market building.

A GIANT Christmas Tree in the middle of the Market! It was HUGE!

Me and the kids by the tree.

This is a gift shop but it is an exact replica of the bar in Cheers. I didn't go in because I didn't really care about it but Roy and Kristin where very excited so I stayed with the kids while they went in. Roy bought a Cheers Mug.
This trail is about 2 1/2 miles long and it is the trail that Paul Revere rode to warn that the British were coming. It stops at the original church where he hung the lantern. We didn't get to go because the day we wanted to go it was raining. I was sad, it would have been so cool to see it.
This was a walkway that had stories about the Holocaust.

This is the T. The kids loved riding on it.
On sunday Roy and Kristin had tickets for a football game so me and the kids just had to hang out at the mall and the hotel. There wasn't much to do but we had fun with what we had. I took them to Cold Stone for some ice cream wich was fun.
Monday we drove another 2 1/2 hrs to North Conway, New Hampshire. We stayed with Kristins mom, Deb, and her stepdad, Dan. That was not that great. They are both smokers and there was a dog and the house was old so it just had a really bad smell. Her mom is very rugged and she was pretty mean to the kids, except for Andrew he is her favorite and it is very obvious. We did all we could to get out of the house. We went to some outlet stores which was fun. It was nice to just look around at everything. The next day we went to a movie to get out of the house but Andrew didn't want to come, later I asked him if he had fun with his Nana, that's what they call there grandma, and he told me he wished he would have come with us. We watched A Christmas Carol, it was a very good movie. It is a 3D movie but it wasn't showing in 3D at the theatre we went to. Most of the days there I just played my gameboy and texted because there was nothing else to do. I was very glad when we left.

Me and the kids at Nana's.

Sebastian having a good time.
On thursday we had breakfast with Kristin's mom then we drove back to Boston and had Thanksgiving dinner with her dad, stepmom and that whole side of the family. They also had a dog so there was hair everywhere, but they were very nice. I didn't feel uncomfortable there at all. Dinner was o.k. but it was nothing like my mom can do. The turkey tasted wierd and the potaotes where disgusting, and I just don't eat squash. So I was really missing my family. We then went to Kristin's stepdad's house with his wife and that side of the family. (Ya I know the whole family thing is very confusing.) That house was not fun at all because her aunt and her "partner" where very touchy feely and everyone was WASTED!!! Then my mom texted me and I lost it. I went into a room by myslef and just started crying, I was so homesick I just wanted to leave. Bella came in and found me crying and she went to the diaper bag and got me a baby wipe for a tissue. That made me laugh, it was very sweet of her. Anyways she must have told Kristin that I was in there because she came in to make sure I was okay. So after all that "funness" was over we went back to the hotel. I was pretty darn scared getting over there because Roy had about 4 or 5 beers and didn't seem to be driving all to well. Kristin asked if he was fine to drive and he said he was. I was sitting there like are you CRAZY even if he had one beer you should dtill drive. I was so nervous the whole way there, but we made it.

Friday we were in Boston and we got evacuated from the hotel because a room on our floor had a fire in it. The hallways were full of smoke and I had to carry R.J. down 10 flights of stairs. It was not fun, it ended up not being anything that serious. R.J. loved seeing the firemen. We were going to do the Paul Revere trail but it was raining. So instead we walked to a movie theatre and watched Old Dogs. It was a cute movie.
These are some of the buildings that I saw while walking the streets to the theatre. I think they are all so awsome looking. They look like castles.

This is a pizza place that we ate at a couple of times. Kristin told me that the original one is in Boston and it's famous for there pizza. I have to say that it is probably the best pizza I've ever had.
This movie poster was in the theatre. It's a new Disney Princess movie and the princess is Princess Tiana. So do we look alike at all? :) Bella keeps asking me if I was named after her, I can't get it through to her that I was born before she was ever thought up. She's just not getting it.
On saturday we went to New York. The bridges we passed over where very high up and then I found out that there was another bridge above us. I'm glad we didn't go on that one. As we were driving to the hotel Roy pointed out the getto part of New York, there was some pretty scary looking buildings.
Getto Building
The hotel we satyed in was actually in New Jersey wich is just across the river. We stayed at the Sheratan. We took a bus to the train so we could get into the city. When the train came it got INSANE!!! People there are so rude, we were trying to get in the train, wich was already packed, and people were pushing me out of the way and shoving infront of me. I was so scared. Roy, Kristin, Sebastian, and Bella got in but me R.J. and Andrew didn't. We tried getting on another car but they were all full and the conducter said that they were full and we had to wait for the next one. I found Kristin again and told her what happened and she was like freaking out. I said that another train was coming and we would get on that one. When it came it was practically EMPTY!! We all should have waited for that one. When I met up with them in New York the station was once again INSANE!!! Everyone was pushing and shoving to get out and up the stairs. I didn't like that one bit. Finally we got out and were in the streets of NEW YORK!! It was so different than anything I've ever seen before. We walked the street where the Macy's Day Parade travels. I still can't believe all the buildings, people and cars. If I lived in New York I would not own a car because trying to drive there is pretty much imposible. Waiting to cross the street was crazy, as soon as the walk sign went on you had to hurry and move or you would get ran over by people. Sometimes people would even walk when a car was coming so there was lots of honking.

Sebastian was such a good baby. He was just so content bundled up in his snow suite.

Even though it was night it was really bright outside beacuse of all the lighted billboards.

When we were crossing one of the streets an ambulance was coming. We were starting to move out of the way when a car ran into the ambulance!! I couldn't believe that I had just seen that happen. What an IDIOT!!

And this is the building where the accident happened in front of!! The police came out and made sure everything was ok.
We ate at the Hard Rock Cafe. It was about an 1 1/2 wait to eat though. I got a shirt saying that I ate there. I didn't realize it was such a big thing to be there.
This whole wall at Hard Rock was covered with guitars coming out of it.
Me and Bella waiting to eat. We were sitting against the guitars because there wasn't enough couches. It wasn't very comfortable sitting with a guitar in my back!!

James Brown suite was above our table.
I don't remember who's drums these are but they were somebody famous.

We did a little thing for R.J. at the cafe because it's his birthday soon. He got to stand up high while we sang to him and everyone cheered for him. He LOVED it!!
R.J.'s free Birthday ice-cream.

Me and the kids in New York!!
(I know I look like crap but I didn't get to shower that day because we were up early.)
We went to Toys-R-Us. It was AWSOME!! It was three stories and had absolutely everything. I loved it, so did the kids they each got a toy.
The Ruiz family in front of the Feris Wheel in Toys-R-Us!!

Superman and the truck were coming out of the ceiling!!

Giant Star Wars figures!!

Spider Man flying across the store!!
This T-Rex looked very life like. R.J. was scared he thought it was going to eat him.

These were all made out of LEGO'S.

Godzilla
Statue of Liberty
R.J. was convinced this was the real Optamis Prime!! He was SO EXCITED!!

When we were headed over the th castle to look for a barbie for Bella, I found MY Favorite SECTION!!!!! It was a whole section for NEW MOON!! I was So HAPPY!! :)
These are Bella and Jacob's motorcycles that they ride in the movie!!
I touched them!! :)

The Volturi's Chairs!!

Walking along the street there was alot of people trying to get us to buy things from them. I almost bought a purse but then decided not too and I'm glad because right after I walked away the police came and the purse guys took off!! But I did buy a I heart New York shirt from one of them.

Every New Years when they show the ball dropping, well the blue thing on top of the building is that ball.
On sunday we drove back to Virginia and I never thought I would be so excited to be in Virginia. It was such a long trip and I was exhausted. I was sick of all the fighting between Roy and Kristin and all the yelling towards the kids. It was Awsome to see all the things I saw and I'm glad I went but I'm also so glad that it's over and life is back to normal. Now I'm looking forward to Christmas so I can go HOME!!
