Thanksgiving...

It's hard to believe that a year ago I was in NYC and all kids of wierd Thanksgiving things were happening!! It's been such an Amazing year and I wouldn't trade it for anything!! I am so glad to be home though and to start the next chapter of my life, whatever it may be.

It was fun to be home with my family this year even though it was a little hard getting there. I live in Rexburg right now so I tried to go home on Sunday and beat the snow storms that were moving in. Well the plan didn't work very well at all. While I was on the interstate I hit some pretty bad snow storms and I was freaking out, and to make matters worse my windshield blades were broken so everytime I turned them on it just smeared the snow. I had to stay really far behind everyone so they wouldn't splash me, and I had to have my heat blasting on my windows so the snow would melt off. There were a couple times I was afraid I was going to go off the road but I made it to Twin. I was so excited that I made it all the way there with no big problems and then...................... I was on the main road 2 miles from Tanille's house and I started to fishtail, then I spun around twice and ended up on the opposite side of the road turned the wrong way with the back of my car in a ditch!! Thankfully I didn't hit another car or a pole, but if it would have been 5 seconds later then I would have been hit in my door by an SUV!! So I'm sure I was being watched over that day. I was surprised at all the people who stopped to help me and make sure I was ok, it's good to know there are still some good people left in the world. I'm also thankful for an Amazing brother-in-law that I have who came and pulled me out. Thanks Ty. :)

This year everyone was at my parents for Thanksgiving and it was fun having everyone together.
The boys waited patiently for there food at there own little table.

Aiden demolishing his Orea Turkey, he has some of the best facial expressions!!

Everyone was playing the Kinect, it was so much fun but I was so sore for the next couple of days.

We finally got all the grandkids to sit down with Grandma and Grandpa to get a picture. They are all so Cute!!

Jace and Carson were happy to play with the cars all day. They are such boys!!

Niki, Logan, and baby Ashlee enjoying some pie.

Me and Tanille shopped Black Friday while the boys stayed with Grandma. We went to Walmart at midnight and Tanille got pj's for the boys while I hit the movie section. This was my first time going to BF and it was a Very Interesting Experience. They had all the movies set up in the produce section and people were standing around them waiting for 12:01. I scoped out what I needed and just hoped that I could get to them in time. Where I was standing I was right in front of 2 movies that I wanted, so I could easily just grab them. Another movie I wanted was on the same shelf but i heard the other people standing around me and they were going for the same one. There was one lady, who I just happened to know her name is Debbie, and she needed 3 then she was going to grab 2 for the lady behind her and 1 for another lady behind her. There were only 6 of the movie there so I knew I wasn't getting one. Well there was this other lady standing by Debbie we'll call her Sue, and she asked Debbie if she was taking all those movies. Debbie said yes and Sue was like Hmmm we'll see!! I was like wow I might be seeing a fight. Debbie was squatted down ready to grab the movies and Sue mouths to me if I needed one too. I said yes then she said she would get me one if I grabbed her the other 2 I was by. So when they finally said GO, I reached for what I needed and looked over to see Debbie grab all 6 of the movies and Sue dive in front of her and knocked Debbie to the ground, then Sue grabs the movies and tried to rip them out of her hands. I was so in shock at what I was seeing I couldn't even move. Sue finally gave up and I gave her the movies she wanted and later she found me again and said she had found more of the movies somewhere else so she grabbed me one. I had a great time and I got some Awsome movies. I would deff. do the BF for the movies again :) It was a good week and I kept watching the weather to make sure I didn't get caught in snow again. Thankfully the roads were fine on my way back so I had no problems.

Major Update...

Well, it's been a while since I posted anything so here's my update since being home.

First I bought a car. It's a 2008 Nissan Sentra. It's PERFECT and I LOVE it!!!

My mom, Tanille, and me took a weekend and went to Utah to just get away and shop!! We had such a fun time. I missed them both so much while I was gone and it was so good to just hang out with them with no interuptions.
So I moved to Rexburg a couple weeks ago and it's been so much fun. I'm still looking for a job but I'm trying to not let that discourage me. The girls that I live with are all 18 and there has been some drama between some of them and it's kinda annoying and 2 of them will be moving out at the end of the month. It's very interesting having roommates again. So here's my creepy story, firat of all my little apartment is just creepy in the first place and it's connected to the boys apartment next to us. Well one night me and my roommate Serenity were watching a movie and we had the door open because it was hot in the apartment. It was about 12 or 12:30 at night, I was laying on the couch and looked over at the door and there is this guy standing there wearing a Way Creepy Clown Mask!!! I was freaking out, all these horrible thoughts were running through my mind, basically I thought I was ganna die that night. I was so scared I couldn't even move, I just sat there stairing at this clown. I didn't even scream even though I surely wanted to. The clown started coming up the stairs and thats when Serenity saw him and started to freak out. I thought "if he gets in the apartment then we're dead" so I leaped off the couch, tripped on my blanket and landed in front of the door, thankgoodness the apartment is so small it didn't take much to get to the door, I slammed the door shut right as he was coming in and locked it. Me and Serenity jumped up, both freaking out and shaking at this point, and ran away from the door. I was about to call one of my guy friends to come over and help us when we heard laughing and a guy saying I'm sorry. I grabbed a broom and we both went to the door and told them to go away, then the blinds on the door fell off and that stupid clown was standing there stairing and I threw the broom at the door and we both ran away. Well it turned out to be one of the guys next door friends, they passed by earlier and saw our door open and decided it would be funny to scare us. I didn't think it was funny I about crapped myself!!! So that's my freaky Rexburg story.
We had some sidewalk chalk so we drew this picture to ward off any other clowns who might come our way.
My other roommate Kaila had a friend stay over one night so we decided to build a fort. I don't know why, we just really wanted to. It was so much fun, we put the t.v. inside of it and watched movies all night. Oh and it's mostly held together with string and ductape. :)

ONE WEEK......

So as of today I officially have exactly 1 week until I go home. I am SO Excited!!! I can't wait to get home and be able to see my family whenever I want, I miss them all so much, especially my nieces and nephews!! However, I am sad to be leaving Virginia. I'm going to miss the kids and all my friends. So this going home thing is kinda bittersweet. I have friends and family in Idaho saying how excited they are that I'm coming home, but then I have friends here who are mad at me for leaving. Everyday the kids try to convince me to stay, it's so sad :( But eventhough I will miss everyone here I know it's time for me to go home. I have to say that there is one thing I will NOT Miss,......The Humidity!! I'm not a fan, I would rather deal with the wind than the humidity anyday!!

Saturday is going to be a busy day, I have a bunch of little last minute things to do. I have to close out my bank account, take a bag of clothes to the thrift store(find a thrift store), then I'm taking the kids to go see Nanny McPhee 2. I have the first one and they love it so I thought it would be nice to go see it with them. Then saturday night I'm hanging out with my friends for the last time :( It's going to be a long, busy day!!

Fun In The Sun!!

Went to the Beach on saturday with some firends. It was so much fun, we tried going before but it was a cloudy rainy day so this time was Awsome!!! They couldn't believe that I had never been to a beach before so they made sure I had the full experience. It was about a 2 1/2 hr drive there so we left around 9, traffic wasn't that bad so we got there around noon. The sand kinda bugs me, I guess I just prefer dirt.

Me tackling a giant crab!!
Jackie, Leif, and Cody

I love the view!!

Getting burried in the sand, this is part of that beach experience they made sure I experienced. I got some in my mouth yuck!!

Leif throwing the sand on.

My first ever sand castle. I know it's kinda small and pathetic but I get kinda bored easily!! I named it Fort Tianna :)

There were alot of Jelly Fish, I didn't like that part of the beach.

I'm poking it with a stick!!

In front of the ocean

Playing in the ocean!! So much fun!!

I'm really glad I got to go, and I only got a little sunburn!! Jackie loaded up on sunscreen and she got fried!! The next day at church everyone was making comments about her burn, saying she shoulda put on sunscreen. lol She was getting really annoyed, it was hilarious!! I'm sure ganna miss these people when I go home.

D.C.

I went to D.C. again last weekend to finish up seeing everything I hadn't already seen. This time it was just me and Jackie and we had so much fun. First we got to see the Decleration of Independence and the Bill of Rights and all those other old documents :) They were so faded that you could barely see what was written on them. On the Decleration you couldn't see any of the names you could only see one loop on the J for John Hancock. It was cool but no pictures were allowed. I was thinking about the movie National Treasure and wondering if I could steal it. :)
Now my pictures I posted are kinda backwards so this is the end of the night when we went to the Lincoln Memorial. It was a couple miles away from the nearest metro so we walked in the dark on a scary street to get there. I wish I would of had my mace with me but they have security checks everywhere so I knew I couldn't have it. We weren't exactly sure we were going the right way either so that added to our worries but eventually we saw it so we relaxed a little. It was so pretty at night, and there were still a ton of people there.

Me and Lincoln, I have to say that this whole day reminded me of the movie Night at the Museum 2. We were in the museum and saw alot of the stuff in the movie.

We both felt disgusting by this time. We had been walking all day we were tired and sweaty and just plain gross!!
The White House

Me and Jackie taking over the White House!! I look good behind that desk :)

Peek-a-boo!! I was looking for secret compartments like on National Treasure 2. Yes I am a movie buff, they need to stop making movies about D.C. because that's all I could think of while I was there and Jackie kept making fun of me. :)

Giving my campaign speech, I think I got some voters!! :)

While at the Smithsonian we saw alot of stuff, they had everything there. We were in there for hours just looking at everything. That is where we spent most of our day. While we were in the cafeteria we had a scare that almost made me have a heartattack. We were standing in line when a lady came running up to the front telling the people in charge that there was an unnatended bag and we needed to eveacuate everyone. I looked and the bag was only a couple feet away from me, I swear at that moment my heart dropped down to my butt. I thought I was going to be blown up. Thankfully before anymore panic happened one of the managers who had just dropped by to check on something said it was his bag. I did not like that cafeteria anymore, I mean they have security checks before you go into the museum but they sometimes don't check everywhere. So ya I was pretty scared at that moment. But the rest of the day was good.
Abraham Lincoln's hat.

They had all the dresses worn by the first ladies at the Presidential Inauguration. I didn't want to put all the pictures on here but some of them are really funny looking.
Martha Washington's dress.

Dorthy's ruby red slippers from The Wizard of Oz.

I made some new friends. I'm pretty sure Jackie was getting a little embarrased by me but I had a good time.
Me and Guy waiting for the bus.

Me and Man after a hard days work.

Me and Family discussing things at the bank.
Me and C3P0. This was the actual costume that the actor wore!!

Getting eaten by a Great White Shark, I knew it would happen eventually I just thought it would be at the beach.
Well I am proud to say that I have experienced D.C. and it was fun, but my feet are going to have permanent blissters from all the walking. I will never forget the good times I had there and I'm glad to have a friend like Jackie to take me around and show me everything. She was an awsome tour guide!!

4th of July

For the 4th me and my friends Jackie and Lowell went to D.C. We went on the 3rd to see the runthrough of the big celebration. It was less crowded but it was still packed!! It was a very long fun day!! Everywhere we went we had to go through a security check, it was crazy!! It was very hot and humid and we had to walk everywhere so we were feeling pretty nasty by the end of the day!!

National Monument

We went to the Air and Space Museum, it's a bunch of airplanes everywhere. Lowell LOVED It!! He's a mechanical engineer who specializes in airplane engines so he was in Heaven. Me and Jackie on the other hand were getting SO Bored!! lol But it was funny to see him get all worked up about a plane and he would start telling us all these facts about it. He kept us intertained!!

I got hit by a plane!!
Saving our spot on the Capitol steps waiting for the concert to start.
The Capitol was really pretty at night. If you look closely you can see the sniper standing on the balcony. We saw two others on the buildings on either side of us.
The first two performers weren't there, they just had people up an stage acting like the performer. We were really dissapointed and we were afraid that none of them were going to be there. But they were and it was Awwsome!! It was way crowded all around us and you couldn't stand up so you just had to adjust your head position to see the stage.
John Schneider (Bo Duke from Dukes of Hazard, Jonathan Kent from Smallville) He was a really good singer and I Love him in Smallville so I was pretty excited when I saw him there.
Reba McEntire, she sang last and she sang the most songs. Jackie doesn't like country music so I was sure to show her that I knew all the songs :)
David Archuleta, he is just so adorable. We thought we saw him in the Air and Space Museum, I'm telling you this kid was his Doppelganger!! Me and Jackie were freaking out and kinda stalking him for a minute, but in the end it wasn't him. I stood kinda behind him and was like "Hey David" and nothing. LOL It was fun!!
We also went to the Holocaust Museum wich was very sad!! It was very quiet and it really just hits you, I can;t really even explain it. There was one section where they had all the shoe's from the people who were gassed. They were baby shoes, kid shoes, women and men shoes, and there were SO Many of them!!
I've decided I don't care for the Metro. There are just too many people and they are rude and pushy and I'm just a country girl and I like it that way!! Ic ould never live in the city!! There's was this nasty little chinease man who sat next to me and he reaked of alchohol. Then there was this guy sitting across from us who was wasted and stoned!! He was really creaping us out!! There is still alot of stuff I haven't seen so we're going back in a couple weeks so I'll have more soon.
