D.C.

I went to D.C. again last weekend to finish up seeing everything I hadn't already seen. This time it was just me and Jackie and we had so much fun. First we got to see the Decleration of Independence and the Bill of Rights and all those other old documents :) They were so faded that you could barely see what was written on them. On the Decleration you couldn't see any of the names you could only see one loop on the J for John Hancock. It was cool but no pictures were allowed. I was thinking about the movie National Treasure and wondering if I could steal it. :)
Now my pictures I posted are kinda backwards so this is the end of the night when we went to the Lincoln Memorial. It was a couple miles away from the nearest metro so we walked in the dark on a scary street to get there. I wish I would of had my mace with me but they have security checks everywhere so I knew I couldn't have it. We weren't exactly sure we were going the right way either so that added to our worries but eventually we saw it so we relaxed a little. It was so pretty at night, and there were still a ton of people there.

Me and Lincoln, I have to say that this whole day reminded me of the movie Night at the Museum 2. We were in the museum and saw alot of the stuff in the movie.

We both felt disgusting by this time. We had been walking all day we were tired and sweaty and just plain gross!!
The White House

Me and Jackie taking over the White House!! I look good behind that desk :)

Peek-a-boo!! I was looking for secret compartments like on National Treasure 2. Yes I am a movie buff, they need to stop making movies about D.C. because that's all I could think of while I was there and Jackie kept making fun of me. :)

Giving my campaign speech, I think I got some voters!! :)

While at the Smithsonian we saw alot of stuff, they had everything there. We were in there for hours just looking at everything. That is where we spent most of our day. While we were in the cafeteria we had a scare that almost made me have a heartattack. We were standing in line when a lady came running up to the front telling the people in charge that there was an unnatended bag and we needed to eveacuate everyone. I looked and the bag was only a couple feet away from me, I swear at that moment my heart dropped down to my butt. I thought I was going to be blown up. Thankfully before anymore panic happened one of the managers who had just dropped by to check on something said it was his bag. I did not like that cafeteria anymore, I mean they have security checks before you go into the museum but they sometimes don't check everywhere. So ya I was pretty scared at that moment. But the rest of the day was good.
Abraham Lincoln's hat.

They had all the dresses worn by the first ladies at the Presidential Inauguration. I didn't want to put all the pictures on here but some of them are really funny looking.
Martha Washington's dress.

Dorthy's ruby red slippers from The Wizard of Oz.

I made some new friends. I'm pretty sure Jackie was getting a little embarrased by me but I had a good time.
Me and Guy waiting for the bus.

Me and Man after a hard days work.

Me and Family discussing things at the bank.
Me and C3P0. This was the actual costume that the actor wore!!

Getting eaten by a Great White Shark, I knew it would happen eventually I just thought it would be at the beach.
Well I am proud to say that I have experienced D.C. and it was fun, but my feet are going to have permanent blissters from all the walking. I will never forget the good times I had there and I'm glad to have a friend like Jackie to take me around and show me everything. She was an awsome tour guide!!

  1. We LOVED DC too and my kids love the Night at the Museum 2 movie because they have been to those places too....super cool! We didn't get to all the museums you did...jealous! I guess we have a reason to go back some day.
